At MyDogHasFamily.com, we believe that dogs are more than pets; they are family members. As filmmakers, we came to Memphis on another project but after we found out that MEMPHIS ANIMAL SERVICES was killing THOUSANDS of healthy dogs each year.  After a year of unsuccessfully trying to work with the Mayor and City Council to change the status quo, we realized that we needed a global village to help us say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" and save the lives of healthy puppies and dogs that in some cases are not even given a chance for rescues to help them get out alive.   

In Honor of Eilinor a 8-month puppy dragged to her death, Blessing,  whose homeless owner brought her to the shelter to get her out of the Memphis heat only to have her slaughtered within 24 hours, and to countless others whose lives have been cut short by the greed and corruption of the very city officials put in charge of a $5.9 million dollar budget that should be used to save lives, not slaughter, we will show that every dog deserves to be loved and cherished and not end up DEAD in a black trash bag.
